Globalization Scale
I believe that Sudan's globalization scale is a 2.0 = Company lead At present time, with the Darfur Genocide, the government is not taking any drastic measures to improve the living conditions and advancements of the country in general. Instead, they are focused on warring against the "less desirable" ethnic group- the Non-Arab Sudanese. Any advancements that are occurring at this time are on a more individual or industrial level. Nearly 80% of the industrial companies are owned by private corporations (http://www.nationsencyclopedia.com/economies/Africa/Sudan-INDUSTRY.html). These large industries include tannery and leather production, weaving mills, spinning mills, gum arabic production, paper mills, minerals, ores, and raw materials extraction. Though large industries, such as textiles, are supported by the government, the companies themselves are making the developments.
